This position is the first point of contact for parents and coaches of boys & girls teams in Recreational Soccer at the 11U–19U levels. At these ages, the teams get larger as the game expands from 9v9 to 11v11, and teams travel a bit farther to play area teams. Your job is to recruit coaches, form teams, answer parent questions, and resolve problems. You partner with the EVP of Upper Division, Registrar, Select EVP, and other Recreational VPs to help get each season off to a great start. All Board members are also expected to serve 3–5 shifts as an Officer on Duty per season. The officer on duty assists coaches, referees, and parents with issues on game days, usually on Saturdays or Sundays. The perfect person for this position is someone who is responsive via email, able to problem solve, and an effective communicator via email. You are the voice of the league to your parents and coaches, and you care about their playing experience at PAYSL. You always strive to provide the highest quality soccer experience for your age groups. Soccer coaching or playing experience is a bonus, but not required. Board members may receive discounted player registration as a “thank you” for their service.
