PFLUGERVILLE FC ACADEMY PROGRAM

Program Purpose

Pflugerville FC Academy provides a premier youth development program for 8U, 9U, and 10U players. We also have our Junior Academy program for players 6U–7U. The program is designed for players who desire advanced training from the PFC professional staff. The Academy program emphasizes developing the complete player in all 4 pillars of the game including: technical, tactical, physical, and psychological, and is a stepping stone into our Select program. All Academy players are expected to demonstrate focus, and a willingness to compete and develop.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Any player that has more advanced skills, is coachable, and wants to play at a higher level.

WHO WILL WE TAKE?

Any player that exhibits at least two of the three qualities listed above.

If you identify players on your team who are playing at a higher level, please reach out to the academy staff to observe play this season.

DETAILS (2025/26 SEASON)

Junior Academy

This program is for our youngest little competitors (6U & 7U)! The goal of our Junior Academy program is to introduce competitive soccer ideas while encouraging fun and a lifelong love of the game!

Included in the Registration Fees

  • Teams will practice 2x per week.

  • Teams are coached by licensed coaches who have a minimum of a U.S. Soccer Grassroots Coaching License and must get the U.S. Soccer D License within one year. See coach bios here

  • League fees for Fall and Spring (vary by league)

  • Green teams will also train over the Winter off-season at our indoor location.

  • Teams will play in the PAYSL Recreational League, oftentimes one year up, and have 1 game per weekend.

  • Some teams may have the opportunity to play up to the CAYSA Academy League early which would include 2 games per weekend.

  • Some teams will attend an included tournament.

  • All players will have an Individual Development Plan (IDP) which may include additional playing opportunities with other teams within the club

  • Goalkeeper training program

  • Player insurance

  • Field rentals (indoor and outdoor) and maintenance

  • Coach travel

Additional Cost

  • Puma uniform kits.

  • Teams may participate in additional tournaments if the team and coach agree and wish to do so.

  • Individual travel costs including hotels, flights, rental cars, gas, and food etc. (varies by team)

  • Personal equipment (cleats, shin guards, water bottles, soccer ball, etc.)

  • Additional camps or clinics

Academy

This program is for our 8U, 9U, and 10U competitors! The goal of our Academy program is to continue to introduce competitive soccer ideas while maintaining a lifelong love of the game!

Included in the Registration Fees

  • Teams will practice 2x-3x per week (depending on the team)

  • Teams are coached by licensed coaches who have a minimum of a U.S. Soccer Grassroots Coaching License and must get the U.S. Soccer D License within one year. See coach bios here

  • League fees for Fall and Spring (vary by league)

  • Green and Blue teams will also train over the Winter off-season at an indoor facility and participate in a Winter indoor soccer league.

  • Teams will play in the CAYSA Academy League which uses “block scheduling”.

    • The CAYSA Academy blocks are divided into 3 levels:

      • Division A - Highest competition

      • Division B - Mid-level, Advanced

      • Division C - Lower, One level above Rec

    • Teams will usually play 2 matches in their block for up to 16 matches each season.

  • Some teams may have the opportunity to play up to the Select leagues early.

  • Teams will play in anywhere from 2-3 tournaments

  • All players will have an Individual Development Plan (IDP) which may include additional playing opportunities with other teams within the club

  • Goalkeeper training program

  • Player insurance

  • Field rentals (indoor and outdoor) and maintenance

  • Coach travel

PLAYER REGISTRATION

To register for the PFC Academy program you must first request an observation using the link above. Once your child has been observed, and their skill level has been determined, you will be sent the invitation to register for the program and purchase a custom uniform kit.
