PAYSL is always looking to hire new field referees! If you, or someone you know is active, loves the game of soccer, enjoys being outdoors, and is looking for something exciting and challenging, then this job could be a great fit! Games are played mostly on Saturdays or Sundays at soccer parks in the Pflugerville area.

WHAT ARE THE PERKS?

COMPETITIVE PAY

Make anywhere between $22 - $60 or more per game. Pay rate increases along with the age of the teams and the level of competition.

FREE UNIFORM KIT FOR NEW PAYSL REFS

PAYSL has teamed up with SoccerZone USA to get our referees outfitted promptly so they're ready to work. Referees may purchase their kit, available in both men's and women's sizes, and have it shipped to their home. Once a new referee candidate has completed the course, joins the Assignr system, and receives their uniform they're ready to immediately start. After completing 12 games of referee work with PAYSL, email our referee assignor, Floyd Melton, with a copy of the receipt, and you will receive a full reimbursement for the uniform kit. The uniform kit consists of five (5) pieces: Official Sports USSF Referee Shirt, Shorts, and Socks, and the Kwikgoal Soccer Linesman Flags and Referee Wallet.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE

Schedules are “self-assign” so you can sign up for as many or as few games as you want. Want a week off..? Don’t sign up for any games that week. Need extra money..? Sign up for several games. Your schedule is in your hands!

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

1) Be at least 13 years or older

2) Register and pay for a course on the U.S. Soccer Course page (check our events below for upcoming local courses). The course costs around $65 upon registration.

3) Attend all virtual and in person trainings (see course description for details)

4) If you are 18 years or older, you are also required to get a background check which is valid for two years. The cost is $30.

5) When you have completed the class and received the certificate, send an email to Floyd Melton at refs@paysl.org so that he can get you included in the scheduling.
